During National Non-Smoking Week, the Canadian Vaping Association is calling on policymakers, public health leaders, and Canadians to recognize vaping as an important harm reduction tool in reducing smoking rates and advancing Canada’s goal of achieving a smoking prevalence of less than 5% by 2035. 

Each year up to 45,000 Canadian lives are lost due to smoking while many others deal with chronic diseases. Smoking is the #1 preventable disease and death in Canada due to the harmful chemicals found in cigarettes. The CVA (Canadian Vaping Association) is an advocate working on behalf of consumers and industry stakeholders to eliminate the harmful use of tobacco, while promoting a safer alternative.
